Importance of Garlic

Garlic has been used over the past decades as a herb because of its vital chemical compound allicin which has medicinal properties. Allicin contains sulfur which gives the herb the pungent smell. Garlic has a number of beneficial uses such as fighting heart ailments, lowers blood pressure, fights cold etc. Garlic also contains minerals such as calcium, iron and iodine.

Helps prevent Cancer

Regular intake of garlic may help in the reduction of stomach, colon and esophageal cancer. It helps in the reduction of the production of carcinogenic compounds and reduces the occurrence of tumors.

Garlic has medicinal properties and can be placed on infected wounds as herbal treatment. You can mix it with water so as to avoid and prevent irritation of the skin if used raw.
